‘Late Night’ Pitches Lesbian Movies To Hallmark
The team at “Late Night with Seth Meyers” have some ideas for Hallmark.
Hallmark has been through the wringer after a start-again-stop-again approach to an ad featuring two women kissing at the altar. Hallmark pulled the ad after some accused it of not being wholesome family content but eventually re-aired the video after more people condemned Hallmark’s exclusivity.

Enter Seth Meyers and the “Late Night” writers who want to help Hallmark get back on its feet by pitching a plethora of lesbian movie ideas delivered by writer Jenny Hagel.
“I’m glad to hear that Hallmark is back on board with having lesbians in commercials,” Hagel said. “But why stop there?”

“The First Noelle” logline: “Sarah has dated three women named Noelle, but sparks fly when she goes to a friend’s Christmas party and runs into the first Noelle.”
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” logline: “Two lesbians are making Christmas dinner when they realize they’re out of quinoa.”
“Deck the Halls” logline: “Two female carpenters get hired to build a deck the week before Christmas. But instead of a deck, they end up building a bridge — to each other.”
