This post lists over 10 of the best Christmas markets in the East Midlands. However, in 2020 I’m afraid many of those Christmas events have been cancelled. As this is a popular post on my website I will keep the post live as hopefully 2021 will mean the return of much loved Christmas markets. Find a festive Christmas market near you across Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. These are all great places to find the perfect Christmas gift and enjoy some festive treats.

Burghley House, Christmas Market 2020, Stamford – Lincolnshire

Currently, there is no further information on their website. There is, however, information if you search the internet. This may be going ahead – I will keep my eyes peeled and update once I hear anything.

Catthorpe Manor Estate, Near Rugby – Christmas Market 2020 – Leicestershire

I believe the 2020 Christmas fair has been cancelled.

Chatsworth House – Christmas Market 2020 – Derbyshire

The 2020 Chatsworth Christmas market has been cancelled.

Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway – Christmas Fair 2020 – Lincolnshire

New for 2020, join us for a fair of Festive Fun! This will be a magical Christmas experience that’s guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit. Enjoy our all-weather market to pick up those last-minute Christmas gifts at one of the craft, gift, food and drink stalls.

The decision has been made to cancel Lincoln Christmas Market 2020 due to the ongoing threat of the UK’s coronavirus outbreak.

Mansfield – Christmas Market 2020 – Nottinghamshire

“The ‘I Love Mansfield’ Christmas market will be back in 2020 with over 20 lovely Christmas Chalets on West Gate, Mansfield Town Centre, NG18 1HX.

The chalets will be set up ready to open every day from Sunday 15th November, the BIG Christmas Lights Switch on day right through to Sunday 20th December from 10am to 5pm, with special late night openings too!

Come and enjoy a stroll around The ‘I Love Mansfield’ Christmas Market for those special stocking fillers and enjoy a delicious drink or bite to eat. This year our food and drink court will be extra special.”

Matlock Bath – Christmas Market 2020 – Derbyshire

Matlock Town Council has taken the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 event due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Newark Festive Gift Show 2020 – Nottinghamshire

Book your stand now! We are now taking exhibitor applications for the Newark Festive Gift Show 2020! In line with COVID-19 guidelines, the Newark Festive Gift Show will be at the Newark Showground on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November 2020. We have two inside shopping market halls and a large outdoor area for you to sell your products in a safe COVID secure environment. Online tickets will be available to purchase from Monday 5th October 2020.

Normanby Hall – Christmas Market 2020 – Lincolnshire

Saturday 12 December and Sunday 13 December. 10am to 4pm. Explore Normanby Hall Country Park this Christmas and visit the traditional festive market with a range of stalls from local producers. With lots of festive spirit in the air its set to be a brilliant weekend for all the family.

Skegness – Christmas Market 2020 – Lincolnshire

The Skegness Christmas Market 2020 is this year a 2 day event and will encompass the Skegness Light Switch On organised by the Hildreds Shopping Centre, previously on the Thursday Night. Skegness Christmas Market, Lincolnshire, PE25 3LZ Sat 28th November 2020 10:00 – 18:00 & Sunday 28th November 10:00 – 16:00.

Tattershall Castle – Christmas Market 2020 – Lincolnshire

From what I can gather this has been cancelled for 2020.

Wollaton Hall – Victorian Christmas 2020 – Nottinghamshire

I believe this event has been cancelled.
